Dorset man held on suspicion of falsely imprisoning woman

A man has been arrested on suspicion of holding a woman against her will at a Dorset industrial estate.

Armed police found the 24-year-old woman, from New Milton in Hampshire, at the site in Somerford Road, Christchurch.

Detectives said the woman, who was found at about 05:30 BST, was "shocked and upset" but not physically injured.

A 54-year-old man from Verwood is being questioned on suspicion of false imprisonment.

Appealing for witnesses, Det Sgt Andy Bell said: "I understand that the woman attended the address and once inside was allegedly held against her will."
