Broadstone robbery plot: Police shoot car tyres to make arrests

Armed police shot out the tyres of a car in order to arrest three men suspected of plotting a robbery.

Officers swooped on the car parked outside the Nationwide Building Society branch in Lower Blandford Road, Broadstone at 20:00 BST on Thursday.

Dorset Police said officers fired "rapid tyre deflation rounds".

A 37-year-old man from Broadstone, a 40-year-old man from Poole, and a 48-year-old man from Manchester remain in custody.

Dorset's Major Crime Investigation Team has urged anyone with information to come forward.
