The final part of a traffic-free cycle route from the Dorset coast has opened.

A new two-mile (3km) path between Weymouth town centre and the Relief Road means it is now possible to cycle entirely on paths separated from roads between Dorchester and Portland.

The Department for Transport and county council funded the £985,000 project linking Radipole Lake, the Rodwell Trail, Chesil Bank and Portland.

The council said it provided a "picturesque route for cyclists".
