A workman has been rescued from the 6th floor of a building site after dislocating his knee.

The fire service used an aerial ladder platform to reach the casualty at the site in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth.

Medics treated him on the ground before taking him to hospital. The road has reopened after it was shut at about 09:00 BST.

South Western Ambulance Service said the man had been on scaffolding at the time of the incident.

The building is owned by Bournemouth University and will become its new International Centre when finished.
