Woman dies and two injured in A35 Greenway Head crash

A woman has died and two other people have suffered "serious, life-changing injuries" in a crash in Dorset.

A Toyota Prius collided with a Peugeot on the A35 at Greenway Head, near the Devon border, on Sunday afternoon.

The front seat passenger of the Toyota, a 59-year-old woman from Lincolnshire, died at the scene.

The driver, a 63-year-old man, and the driver of the Peugeot, a 28-year-old woman from Lyme Regis, are being treated in hospital.

The road was closed for several hours following the crash at 14:30 GMT.

Witnesses are urged to contact Dorset Police.
