Views sought on hospital bus route subsidy cuts plan

Bus passengers are being asked for their views on possible cuts to two bus routes which serve hospitals in Dorset.

The county council said cuts in government funding mean it needs to save £500,000 from its bus subsidy budget in 2016/17.

The routes, 24 and 111, run by Yellow Buses serve Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole and stop at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals.

The authority said under the proposals the routes could change or reduce.

The consultation on the plans closes on 20 May.
