Woman dies more than two weeks after crash in Essex

A 68-year-old woman has died in hospital more than two weeks after being critically injured in a crash involving four vehicles in Essex.

A van, a Peugeot Sport, Volvo Vectra and Fiat Punto crashed in Sutton Road, Southend, on 15 September.

Two other women, aged 66 and 64, and a two-year-old boy, were also hurt in the accident.

A man, 55, from Rayleigh was bailed until 15 December after being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
