Knifepoint robbery at bookmakers in Essex
A masked robber armed with a knife stole a three-figure sum of cash from a bookmakers in Essex.
The man entered Coral in London Road, Leigh, at about 0945 GMT on Monday, threatened a member of staff and demanded money.
After taking the cash in a red bag he left towards Hadleigh.
Police said he was white, in his 20s, between 5ft 8in (1.72m) to 5ft 9in (1.75m) and had a local accent. He wore a woollen mask with eyeholes.
His clothing was dark, including a black beanie style hat and gloves, and he was carrying a rucksack.
