Appeal to trace woman pulled into car in Colchester

Police are trying to trace a woman who was seen being pulled into a car by a man in Essex.

The incident took place between 2300 GMT and 2330 GMT on Friday at the entrance to the NCP car park in Butt Road, Colchester.

The driver is black, aged between 40 and 50, with a beard and was wearing a dark turban and dark clothing.

The woman is white, in her mid to late 20s, with long, dark red, dyed hair and facial piercings.

She was wearing gold hoop earrings, a red jacket and blue denim shorts.

The car is described as a silver Ford Mondeo or similar, with sign writing on the driver's door.

Det Ch Insp Mark Hall appealed for anyone with information to contact police.

He added: "I am particularly keen to talk with the lady involved to satisfy myself that she is unharmed and ask her to come forward."
