Imprisoned paedophile given further jail term
A paedophile has been jailed for 11 years for sexual offences which took place in the 1970s and 1980s.
Ian Price, 49, who is serving an indeterminate prison sentence for sexual grooming, was found guilty of indecent assault and rape.
He was acquitted of five counts of indecent assault.
Basildon Crown Court heard how the abuse occurred over a 13-year period, between August 1971 and September 1984, on Canvey Island, Essex.
Price had previously admitted two counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.
He had denied a further 19 counts of abuse, including rape, attempted rape and indecent assault.
Det Con Paul Alabaster said: "The two victims have stated that they would never forgive or forget the habitual sexual abuse that they suffered at the hands of Price and were extremely pleased that the jury accepted their version of events.
"Historic child abuse is always difficult to investigate and this case was even more so as these offences were over 30 years old."
Price was jailed in 2009 at Southwark Crown Court after a trial where he was found guilty of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming, attempting to incite a person aged 14 to engage in sexual activity and attempting to cause a person aged 14 to watch a sexual act.
