Man charged over Essex lake severed arms case

A 53-year-old has been charged with the murder of a man whose severed arms were found in a lake in Essex.

One arm was discovered by an angler at Buckhurst Hill on Thursday and police found a second on Saturday.

They were identified as belonging to Anthony Whitefield, 47, of Loughton, who disappeared on 8 February.

Douglas Binet, of Hanson Drive, Loughton, is accused of murder between 6 February and 31 March. He is due before Harlow magistrates on Wednesday.
