Two arrests after camper injured in Writtle, Essex

Two Essex men have been arrested after a camper was seriously injured when a car rolled down a hill into a tent.

Police were called at 0800 BST to a field near Writtle College, Lordship Road, Writtle, where people had been camping in a field overnight.

A man in his 20s suffered a serious but not life-threatening head injury caused by the car and was taken to hospital.

A man, 21, of Chelmsford and a 20-year-old man from Leigh were arrested and are to be questioned by police.

Anyone with any information about the incident, which happened on Saturday, is asked to call Essex Police.
