Woman found with serious injuries in Chelmsford

A woman has been found in an Essex street with serious injuries.

The 28-year-old, from Grays, was discovered by a passer-by on Victoria Road, Chelmsford, at about 0140 BST.

She had suffered a number of injuries including serious leg wounds and remains in a serious condition at Broomfield Hospital.

Essex Police said it was not yet known how the woman received the injuries, but it was possible she had been hit by a vehicle.
