Man charged over bus death of Loughton pedestrian

A 42-year-old man has been charged with causing death by careless driving following the death of a man hit by a bus in Essex on 23 August 2010.

Pedestrian Walter Morris, 76, from Loughton, was hit by a double decker in Church Hill at about 0800 BST.

He was taken by air ambulance to Queens Hospital in Romford but died a few days later.

A man from north-west London has been bailed to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on 15 July.
