Loughton man denies 'arms in lake' murder

A 53-year-old has denied murdering a father of five whose arms were found at a lake in Essex.

Taxi driver Anthony Whitefield, 42, had been missing for two months when his arm was found near a fishing lake in Loughton on 31 March.

Police then found a second arm in the lake, and further body parts at a property in the town.

Douglas Binet, of Hanson Drive, Loughton, was remanded in custody at Chelmsford Crown Court.

His trial is due to start on 14 November.
