Driver dies after crash in Loughton, Essex

A 45-year-old driver died after his car left the road and collided with a fence in Essex.

Police believe the crash in Church Hill, Loughton, happened when the driver was taken ill at the wheel on Thursday evening.

Members of the public tried to help the man and called emergency services.

Paramedics gave the driver, who lived in Waltham Abbey, emergency first aid and the air ambulance landed at the scene.
