Two men questioned in Southend murder inquiry
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 45-year-old man in Essex.
The victim died on Saturday after being found with head injuries at a flat, in Coleman Street, Southend, at 19:40 GMT on Thursday.
The men, aged 39 and 23, are being held in custody on suspicion of murder and drug offences, a police spokeswoman said.
Police said initial post-mortem tests showed the man died from a head injury.
A 55-year-old man, 33-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were also arrested as part of the inquiry.
They have been released on bail after being questioned over drug offences and assisting an offender, the police spokeswoman said.
