Southend Airport runway protest: four charged

Three men and a woman have been charged over a protest at London Southend Airport.

Campaigners opposed to an extension of the runway were arrested by police on 29 October.

A 20-year-old man and a woman, 19, both from Norfolk, and two men from London aged 38 and 55, are charged with entering a restricted zone.

They are due to appear before Southend magistrates on 14 December. No action will be taken against 11 other people.
