Ten hurt as minibus crashes into wall in Essex

Four women were taken to hospital and six other people treated for injuries at the scene after a minibus left the road and crashed into a wall in Essex.

Firefighters were called to the accident at Little Chesterford, near Saffron Walden, on Sunday morning.

Five people were trapped and needed medical attention and an additional five were "walking wounded", a fire service spokesman said.

Casualties were taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "We believe the minibus was in collision with a roadside wall.

"A total of four patients have been conveyed to the Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridgeshire with non life-threatening injuries."
