Car driver dies after coach crash in Essex

A car driver has died after a crash with a coach in Essex on Tuesday night.

Two coach passengers were taken to hospital after the collision near the Robin Hood roundabout on the A104 Epping New Road at Loughton.

The driver of a Ford Fiesta car who died was a man in his 60s, believed to be from north-east London, police said.

The passengers taken to hospital had suffered minor injures and a number of others were treated at the scene for shock, cuts and bruises.

The road was closed from about 23:00 GMT until about 05:30 GMT on Wednesday while police carried out investigations.
