Colchester couple burgled for the third time

An Essex couple whose house has been burgled for the third time in two years are suffering "immense distress" according to police.

The most recent break-in at St Andrews Gardens, Colchester, took place between 7 and 9 January, when jewellery and trophies were stolen.

The house was also targeted by thieves in April 2010 and November 2011.

Det Con Lorraine Lumb said: "The couple are obviously very shaken up at being burgled three times."

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Essex Police.
