A 37-year-old from Wales has become the third to be charged with the murder of a man found dead in his flat in Essex.

The body of Roy Sly, 53, was discovered at his home in Station Road, Westcliff, on 10 January.

The latest person to be charged is from near Merthyr Tydfil and was arrested in the Southend area on Friday. He is due at Southend magistrates' court later.

A man and woman accused of Mr Sly's murder are due before Chelmsford Crown Court in April.
