Billericay car gun shots arrested pair bailed

Two men arrested on suspicion of firearms offences after shots were fired into an empty car in Essex have been bailed.

Armed police were called to Mill Road in Billericay last Thursday evening after receiving reports of gunfire.

Two 26-year-old men, one from Benfleet and the other of no fixed address were released on police bail until 28 July.

The shots were fired from a passing vehicle into an empty car. The car was damaged but no-one was injured.
