Two charged over £5m cocaine find in Essex and London

Cocaine with an estimated street value of £5m has been found by police.

The force said 16kg of the drug was discovered in a vehicle near Colchester on Saturday, a day after 8kg was found at a property in Beckton, east London.

Two men from Essex were due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, charged with conspiring to supply class A drugs.

Essex Police said the finds came after a six-month investigation and were the force's largest haul of the drug.
