A12 Colchester: Bus and lorry crash shuts carriageway

Lorry crash on A12 The collision caused long tailbacks on the northbound carriageway

A lorry driver has suffered minor injuries in a crash involving a bus which has caused major traffic disruption on the A12 near Colchester.

The accident happened between junctions 27 and 28, on the northbound carriageway, at about 13:30 GMT.

There were no passengers on board the single-decker bus. Four fire engines were called to the scene.

The road was closed to traffic while the vehicles were recovered. Diversions remain in operation.
