Ambulance crew sent to mannequin in car

Paramedics called to help a person feared dead in a locked car arrived to find it was actually a mannequin.

Air and land ambulances were sent to Milton Road in Harwich at 07:40 GMT.

A member of the public had dialled 999 because they saw what they thought was a person not breathing.

Gary Sanderson, of the East of England Ambulance Service, said: "This is a very unusual incident our crews attended this morning and the person who dialled 999 did the right thing."
