A man has been charged with murder over the death of a 35-year-old in a car park in Essex.

Liam Holden, from Grays, died after being attacked in the car park near Morrisons in the town last Sunday.

He had been out with friends at the Euro Lounge before being attacked in the early hours. He died from head injuries.

Owen Wood, 23, of Godman Road, Grays, is in custody and is due before Chelmsford magistrates on Monday.

A 21-year-old man from Grays who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed until 22 May.
