£1m project for A12 average speed cameras at Kelvedon

Average speed cameras are to be put on the A12 near Kelvedon in Essex.

It is hoped their introduction on a 4 mile (6.4km) stretch between Rivenhall End and Easthorpe Road will help reduce accidents and delays.

Work on the £1m project is due to begin later this year and will be completed by 2015, the Highways Agency said.

Kelvedon Parish Council, which has previously welcomed the proposal, said it would discuss the announcement at its next meeting in May.
