A man has denied the murder of a 54-year-old man found stabbed to death at a house in Essex.

Michael Brennan, 22, of The Green, Chelmsford, was charged after a body was found at Moulsham Street in the early hours of 5 May.

Paul Simons, from the Watford area, died from stab wounds, a post-mortem examination revealed.

Mr Brennan pleaded not guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court. He is due to stand trial at the court in November.
