Essex Police make sixth arrest in David Fletcher attempted murder case
A sixth man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a courier was seriously injured.
Father-of-three David Fletcher, 58, from Upminster, was hurt when two men tried to steal his van in Purfleet, Essex on 9 July.
Mr Fletcher was making a delivery when two men jumped into his Mercedes vehicle and tried to drive off.
A 40-year-old Basildon man is the latest person to be arrested in connection with the incident.
Five other men arrested in connection with the case are on police bail until 20 September.
Mr Fletcher remains in hospital.
