Man charged with Essex stabbing of Tolu Kalejaiye

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was found with stab wounds to the neck at house in Essex.

Police were called to Wethersfield Way in Wickford shortly after 10:00 BST on Thursday, after neighbours raised concerns for the woman's welfare.

She is believed to be Tolu Kalejaiye, 44, of Wethersfield Way, police said.

Oludotun Emmanual Kalejaiye, 21, of the same address, is due before Chelmsford magistrates on Saturday.

Police said their identification of the victim was "provisional" and was subject to the opening of an inquest.
