Man run over and stabbed in Chelmsford 'drug feud'

The scene was cordoned off while police searched the scene

A man was run over by a car before he was stabbed in an attack on an Essex street.

The victim was walking along Dorset Avenue in Chelmsford with a friend when he was attacked on Thursday night.

Both were struck by a dark BMW. One of the men was then assaulted and stabbed in the "lower body" as he lay on the ground. He remains in hospital.

Essex Police said the attack was probably "drug-related" and those involved "known to each other".
