A woman questioned by police in connection with the murder of a vulnerable man in an Essex park has been released on bail.

James Attfield, 33, who had a brain injury after being hit by a car four years ago, was found in Castle Park in Colchester on 29 March. He had been stabbed 102 times.

A 27-year-old woman from Colchester is due to return to police on Tuesday.

Detectives are yet to find a motive or a weapon.

The woman, who was arrested on Friday, was the second person to be held by police in the investigation.

A 38-year-old man arrested in Colchester on 2 April was released without charge three days later.
