'Missing' Tiptree girl Kathryn Goodchild found 'safe and well'

Kathryn Goodchild Kathryn Goodchild went missing for more than 24 hours

A missing 13-year-old girl from Essex whose disappearance caused "extreme concern" for police has been found "safe and well".

Kathryn Goodchild went missing from her home in Luther Drive, Tiptree, at 17:45 BST on Tuesday, with police describing it as "completely out of character".

Officers said she had since been found in Colchester having made contact with them at about 19:00.

They thanked members of the public for their help with the appeal.
