Essex Police open murder probe after Southend stabbing

A 26-year-old man has been stabbed to death in Essex.

The man, from east London, was stabbed twice in York Road, Southend, at about 19:00 BST and died earlier in hospital.

Essex Police arrested six males, said to be aged between 17 and 19, who come from the Southend, Basildon and London areas.

They will be questioned later by detectives. Essex Police appealed for anybody with information about the incident to contact them.
