Essex Fire and Rescue isolated the petrol pumps and power supply after the crash at the BP garage on the A12 at Kelvedon, at about 13:00 BST.

The roof of the Ford Fiesta was removed to free the people inside. They were being treated by paramedics.

It is not yet clear how the crash, which damaged the entrance to the shop, happened.
