Two arrested in escort agency prostitution investigation

Two men have been arrested in connection with suspected child prostitution, following an investigation into an escort agency.

Detectives have been looking into the activities of Essex-based company Girls4U.

A Shoeburyness man, 38, and a 68-year-old from Brentwood were arrested on suspicion of conspiring to arrange the prostitution of a child under 18.

They are also being questioned about supplying Class A and B drugs.

The men have also been arrested on suspicion of intentionally controlling the activities of another in relation to prostitution.

They are both in custody as inquiries continue.

Essex Police said they were "continuing to monitor Girls4U and associated websites as part of the on-going investigation".
