Witham acid attack: Crimestoppers offers reward for information
A reward is being offered for information about a "particularly nasty" acid attack, which left a man with "horrific injuries", a charity said.
Wayne Ingold, 55, was targeted "in a case of mistaken identity" outside his home in Witham, Essex on 8 August.
No-one has yet been charged in connection with the attack.
Crimestoppers has offered £3,000 for information which helps to catch those responsible.
Ann Scott, a manager at the charity, said: "This is a particularly nasty attack in broad daylight which has left an innocent member of the public with horrific injuries.
"You have nothing to fear by giving Crimestoppers information as we never ask for your name or take any personal details."
She said any information received "could be vital in helping police to bring those responsible to justice".
Before the attack, two men were seen walking around Bramble Road, where Mr Ingold lived, and looking at property numbers.
They had a blue Vauxhall Signum or hatchback-style vehicle but the registration is unknown.
