Southend murder probe after stabbing victim dies

A murder inquiry has been launched after two men were found with knife wounds at an address in Essex.

The victims were found with serious injuries at a property in St Ann's Road, Southend just after 22:30 GMT on Wednesday, police said.

One man was declared dead at the scene, the other was taken to hospital with stab wounds and remains in a critical condition.

The road has been closed while forensic examinations take place.

Essex Police has called for anyone who saw a group of men running in St Ann's Road between 22:00 and 23:00 GMT, to come forward.
