Man arrested over fatal M11 crash near Stansted

A van driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal crash on the M11 in Essex.

A 47-year-old man from Chatham, Kent, died when the Ford Focus he was travelling in crashed on Friday.

The crash closed the northbound carriageway of the motorway near Stansted for more than five hours.

A 40-year-old man from Sidcup, Kent, was taken to hospital and later questioned by police and bailed.
