Man remanded over Clacton fight stab murder

A man has been remanded in custody charged with murder over a fight where one man died and two others were injured in Essex.

James Gregoire, 54, was stabbed in Rosemary Road, Clacton on Monday night. Tests found he died from stab wounds.

Darren Gilbert, 21, of Holland Road, in Clacton, was charged with murder and attempted murder.

He was remanded by Colchester magistrates to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 21 April.

Mr Gilbert is also accused of two counts of making threats to kill.
