Essex police officers cut free from Colchester car crash

Two police officers have been cut free from an unmarked police car following a crash while responding to an emergency call in Essex.

The two men were in an unmarked BMW when it collided with an Audi in Lexden Road, Colchester on Monday afternoon.

Essex Fire and Rescue cut the roof off the car before the officers were taken out of the vehicle.

Both men suffered minor injuries. An investigation is under way into the cause of the crash.
