M25 accident in Essex leads to road closure and arrest
A driver has been arrested after a collision which left three women in hospital and closed part of the M25.
A red Scania lorry and a blue Nissan crashed on the clockwise carriageway at Epping at about 01:55 BST
One woman from the Nissan has been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while two others had serious injuries.
Essex Police arrested a 61-year-old man from Telford on suspicion of dangerous driving and drink or drug driving.
The woman with the more serious injuries was being treated at the Royal London Hospital, while the other two were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.
A dog was also rescued from the car and was being cared for by the RSPCA.
The road reopened just after 09:00.
