Forklift truck stolen from Gloucestershire cemetery

A forklift truck has been stolen from a cemetery in Gloucestershire.

An amber light on top of the truck was flashing when it was driven out of a work site at Coney Hill Cemetery at 0850 GMT on 15 January.

The truck, worth £40,000, is described as a large blue and white telescopic Genie model.

The thief was dressed in a clean, florescent, long-sleeved coat, and a clean, white hard hat, Gloucestershire Police said.

Pc Laura Meacham said: "There were a lot of people around at what was a busy time of day so hopefully someone has seen it somewhere, being parked up or being loaded on to a lorry perhaps.

"I would urge anyone in the Coney Hill, Matson, Painswick Road, or Abbeymead areas of Gloucester last Saturday to call us if they saw anything suspicious."
