Cheltenham woman in court over man's murder

A woman has appeared in court charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the murder of a man in Cheltenham.

Carolanne Williams, 20, of Fairview Road, Cheltenham, was arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Keith Soons.

Mr Soons, 36, was stabbed in the head in the town on 5 February.

Cheltenham magistrates bailed Ms Williams to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on 23 March.

Two men have been charged with robbery and murder and are due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 20 May.

Mr Soons, who had been on a night out when he was attacked, was found the following morning with serious injuries in Wellington Lane in Pitville, Cheltenham. He was taken to hospital but died later.
