Cheltenham boy seriously injured in road crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was seriously injured in a road crash in Gloucestershire.

The 13-year-old, from Cheltenham, was struck by a Ford Fiesta in Greet Road in Winchcombe shortly before 1030 GMT.

He was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with what were described as life-threatening injuries.

The 66-year-old male driver, from Toddington, was not injured in the incident.
