Instruments stolen in Cheltenham church burglary

Police are appealing for information after musical equipment and instruments were stolen from a church in Cheltenham.

Officers were called to Highbury Congregational Church on Oxford Street just after 1000 GMT on Sunday.

They said the front door was found wide open, despite being locked the previous afternoon.

The stolen items include a mixing desk, cymbals and a Premier APK power tom drum.

A 12-string electric acoustic guitar and a power monitor are also missing.

Gloucestershire police have asked for anyone with information, or who is offered the equipment for sale, to contact them.
