M5 in Gloucestershire reopens after bridge incident

The M5 in Gloucestershire has reopened after being closed for nearly two hours while police dealt with an incident on a motorway bridge.

Traffic was halted between junction 13 for Stroud and junction 14 at Falfield at about 1450 GMT.

Motorists were diverted via the A38 in both directions and traffic was stopped from leaving Michaelwood Services.

Earlier in the afternoon queues of up to 20 miles built up on the motorway with police warning of delays.
