Gloucestershire wards remain closed due to norovirus

Three wards at two Gloucestershire hospitals remain closed to visitors due to an outbreak of norovirus.

An NHS spokesman said some patients at Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General hospitals were affected by the winter vomiting bug.

Wards 6A and 7A at Gloucestershire Royal and Guiting Ward at Cheltenham remain closed to visitors.

Visiting will only be allowed on compassionate grounds, the spokesman said.

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust runs Cheltenham General and Gloucester Royal.
