Man dies after being found hurt at Cheltenham flats
A 43-year-old man has died after being found with serious head injuries in a block of flats in Cheltenham.
Officers were called to Edward Wilson House on Princess Elizabeth Way just after midnight on Wednesday.
The man was found at the bottom of a stairwell and was taken to hospital where he later died.
Police said his death was being treated as unexplained. The area has been sealed off while investigations are carried out.
Det Ch Insp Marc Flannery, of Gloucestershire Police, said: "We don't yet know how this man came to be lying at the foot of the stairwell or how he received his severe injuries.
"I'd like anyone who was at the flats, as a resident or visitor, between the early evening of Wednesday and midnight to come forward and tell me what they heard or saw."
